Jánošíkove diery or only Diery (Holes) is a system of gorges and canyons in the Krivanska Mala Fatra.
It is located in the NNR Rozsutec. It consists of three parts: Dolné diery, Nové diery a Horné diery. They were shaped by the Dierový. There are more than 20 waterfall in the locality and together they form Vodopády Dierového potoka (Waterfall of the Dierový stream). Unusual rock formations with their specific climate have become a home to several species of plants and animals.
The hamlets of Štefanová and Biely potok, which belong to the village Terchová, are starting points for a hike to Diery. In the locality Dolné diery, an educational path was built. Horne diery are not accessible in the winter season. Jánošíkove diery are accessible by picturesque signposted trails with footbridges, ladders or chains.
Dolné diery
Dolné diery are accessible by an educational trail. Two waterfalls (1m and 3.5 m high) cascade through the locality and are a part of the waterfall system of the Dierový stream. Unusual rock formations with the specific climate has become a home to several species of plants and animals.
Nové diery
The gorge Tiesňava is located in the NNR Rozsutec. It stretches upstream a minor tributary of the Dierový stream. Four waterfalls, whose height ranges from 1 to 2 meters, flow down the gorge and are a part of the natural monument called Vodopády Dierového potoka (Waterfalls of the Dierový stream). They got their name because of the fact they were made accessible most recently.
Horné diery
Horné diery is a gorge of the stream Diery between the mountains Veľký Rozsutec a Malý Rozsutec and is located in the NNR Rozsutec. The stream overcomes a sheer drop through the system of nine waterfalls 2-4 meters high which together form a natural monument called Vodopády Dierového potoka (Waterfalls of the Dierový stream). Horne diery are not passable in the event of heavy rains as they can be scaled by means of ladders, chains and bridges. The locality is closed in the winter season too. Many species of plants and animals thrive in this cold and wet ecosystems.

Time: 3,5 – 4,5 hrs.
Starting point: Car park at the hotel Diery in Terchová – Biely Potok, car park Štefanová.
Target point: Car park at the hotel Diery in Terchová – Biely Potok, car park Štefanová.
Difficulty: The route is quite easy in spite of the ladders and is also suitable for children. With children, it not advisable to hike up to Maly Rozsutec though.
